An

Integrative

Trauma Informed

Approach

"To live a rich life, we have to be in contact with our inner world."

-Carl Jung

My counseling practice focuses on assisting people of all ages as they reorient to the world after experiencing a sexual assault, attachment disruption, or other traumatic incident.

With training rooted in analytical, attachment, person centered, and feminist theory, human development, the expressive arts, play therapy, mindfulness, and other evidenced based, trauma informed modalities, I create space for clients to choose various mediums to explore, express, and evaluate their healing process.

For nearly 2 decades, I have served hundreds of people in a variety of settings, and now offer counseling, play therapy, supervision, and consultation services through my private practice. I am passionate about de-stigmatizing mental health treatment, normalizing and understanding stress responses, supporting resiliency, and promoting sexual health.

As a TN Licensed Professional Counselor with a Mental Health Services Provider (LPC-MHSP) designation, a National Certified Counselor (NCC), Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), and a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor (RPT-S), I have responded to the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic by also becoming an Out-of-State Telehealth provider in Florida (#222), and a Temporary Registered Telehealth Health Care Provider- LPC in Kentucky (#264197)

As of summer 2020, I am a doctoral candidate at the University of the Cumberlands in the Counselor Education and Supervision Ph.D program; there I have provided clinical supervision, guest lectured, conducted research on neuro- and trauma informed care, and assisted in teaching master’s level child & adolescent counseling, practicum, and doctoral level qualitative research. I also actively serve on the Research Committee of the Sandplay Therapists of America.
